Mk1 Mk2 Escort Compression Strut Kit

Manufactured by GRP4 Fabrications, the Compression Strut kit allows for Castor adjustment on Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts, but requires the bolts to be removed from the Rose joint to allow adjustment. This is a requirement on certain homologation rules.

Compression Struts allow the adjustment of Castor and Camber when used in conjunction with adjustable Track control arms.

A Castor angle setting of +3.0 to +3.3 degrees is usually sufficient on Rally Cars but can be increased if using Power Steering.

This improves Handling, Cornering and Braking greatly.

Compression Struts are the preferred choice for Castor adjustment on Tarmac Escorts in Ireland.

All our kits manufactured from Tried and Tested Materials which have the correct properties to withstand Rally use.

2 off Compression strut bar(fixed) - GRP1410

1 off Compression strut body bracket left - GRP1430L

1 off Compression strut body bracket right- GRP1430R

2 off 5/8" x 1/2" XM8T Aurora Rose joint -GRP5080

2 off 5/8" unf right hand loc nut - GRP4850

4 off 4 link bracket/compression strut spacer -GRP4920

2 off Compression strut cone link assembly - GRP1480

2 off 7/16" unf x 1 1/2" hex bolt - GRP8265

2 off 7/16" unf nyloc nut - GRP8245

2 off 1/2" x 2 1/2" unf hex bolt - GRP8295

4 off 1/2" Flat washer - GRP8290

4 off 1/2" unf Nyloc nut - GRP8285

Our Kits are Zinc plated and come fully assembled with Top Quality Aurora PTFE lined Rose joints.

Additional Anti roll bar kits can be fitted to fine tune the cars handling. GRP4 manufacture these in 14,16,18 and 21mm options.

If you are using an Anti roll bar with this kit you will need to order 2 x GRP1482 also.
